Bhangarh Fort

Waiting for the Summer

By In Ride, Travel

Bhangarh is about 243 km from Gurgaon. It is the longest way that we choose, which takes 4 hours of travel time or maybe higher to follow the other way to Bhangarh, Alwar which is 215 km from Gurgaon.

We are four friends with two bikes who plan a one day ride to Bhangarh. We all meet at the start of our ride from Gurgaon at 6:00 am.

We customized our journey by adding a few stops for having food or take a rest. As this was our first long-distance ride, so our travel time changed as per our stoppages.

We take a halt for some refreshment on the way near Manesar. The weather was really hot. When crossing Bhiwadi and Dharuhera you will find many real estate projects are going on both sides of the highway. After crossing Dharuhera, you can get rid of a lot of traffic and having the pleasure to see good landscape surroundings.

About Bhangarh

As per stories, Bhangarth fort is famous as one of the haunted fort, it is located in the Aravali range of hills in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. The story relates to gorgeous princess Ratnavati of Bhangarh and one of the black magician Tantrik named Singhia.

The story of her beauty had spread wide and she had the attention of many powerful admirers. A tantric Singhia was lived near the fort who fell deeply in love with the princess Ratnavati. Tantrik also knows that the princess would never be attracted to him, but he tried many times. As spoken, one-day Singhia found that one of the Ratnavati’s maid buying perfume from the village market. Singhia adds some black magic into her perfume. When Ratnavati came to know about this, she threw that bottle out of her window in anger. As per saying, the Tantrik Singhia took his last breath, then he cursed the residents of the fort to die.

It is also, nearby to Sariska National Park. Near about 15 mins of travel time in both of them. The park is closed when we visited the Bhangarth fort. Sariska National Park will remain closed from July to Sep,

We are visiting there for the first time and also lost to the unknown road. Although greens and site is generic the road becomes drabber with several small ruins. Please take or download proper instructions for the path and also carry some extra petrol, as we don’t find any petrol pump there, We found one-liter water bottles filled with petrol on the various shops in our way.

You will; find some clicks at the end of our visit to Bhangarth fort, which shows our enjoyment to celebrate the moment to be on one of the haunted places

As per government instructions you can’t stay there after sunset. You have to leave fort premises at 06:00 Pm anyhow.

The best time to visit the Bhangarth fort is from November to February. You can plan accordingly to visit both Sariska National Park and Bhangarth Fort on the same trip.

We left Bhangarth Fort near about 6:00 pm and reached Gurgaon near about 11:00 pm with stops including dinner and sutta breaks.

Well this was our one of the never-ending experience with our first bike ride.
